It's tough being successful in any marketplace especially online. It's even worse if you are new. Older users with a couple of orders and a few good rating stand a better chance succeeding for obvious reasons. I will be sharing a few tricks that will help you get hired in a marketplace.

Firstly, Nothing sells you like your work. As an individual, I believe that excellence is a choice and I choose to be excellent. Put in your best work always and you don't need to beg for jobs. You will always be hired.

Secondly, asking you to have a complete profile is a no-brainer. Without a great profile, you don't stand a chance of being hired. Why should I hire someone I know literally nothing about? More so, with the security situation in the country, will that be a good idea? certainly not. The more information I have about a service provider, the more confident I will be, doing business with that fellow.

Thirdly, get pricing right; I know you plan making a lot of money, but remember, you stand a better chance getting hired if your services are affordable. As I mentioned earlier, if a prospective hirer checks your profile and there are some orders and positive reviews, you are more than half way through to getting hired. Therefore, ensure you start with the least amount possible. Remember, wasem.ng allows you review prices upwards even during the course of the work. Don't scare prospective clients away with high rates.

The forth point I'd like to make is; response time. You may have received your first order, most likely through an email or SMS from wasem.ng. You need to quickly accept the order. This is because, a notification (SMS or email) that you've been hired means the service seeker has already paid. If I am a service seeker and I have paid, you are damn well right i'll be waiting for your response. A quick response will calm frail nerves and most likely earn you a favorable review and possibly reorders.

Lastly, communication. You can only go as far as how well you communicate with your hirers. Ask questions politely, give them updates as often as you can. Be as professional as possible and concentrate on your job only.

Marketplaces as I earlier mentioned are quite competitive, therefore, following tips and tricks of other successfully freelancers is surely one of the ways to break in and make it big.
